Season 2 of Insuline Mijn Benzine, produced by Geuren & Kleuren Media

From August 19, the second season of Insuline Mijn Benzine is available to listen to and watch. Following a successful first season, hosts Roxanne Kwant and Maarten de Gruyter return with new open and honest conversations about life with type 1 diabetes.
Insuline Mijn Benzine is a podcast initiated by Stichting DON, in which Roxanne and Maarten discuss topics that are part of everyday life with type 1 diabetes. Drawing from their own experiences, they speak with guests about the challenges, choices and situations that come with living with the condition.
Episode 1: Anne Fleur Slagt – “Diabetes has to learn to live with me, not the other way around”
Maarten and Roxanne kick off the new season with kickboxer Anne Fleur Slagt. Alongside type 1 diabetes, she lives with four other autoimmune diseases, but refuses to let them define how she lives her life.
In the episode, Anne Fleur speaks openly about losing her dream job, being declared fully unfit for work at the age of 31 and the impact this had on her life. She also talks about the role kickboxing plays in her life and how the sport continues to give her the resilience to keep going when her body works against her.
How do you keep moving forward when your body repeatedly forces you to slow down? And how do you make diabetes part of your life without letting it determine how you live it?
The second season of Insuline Mijn Benzine is available from August 19 via your favorite podcast app and on YouTube.
